Our newly-acquired NDVI Camera Sensor

We recently had the pleasure of unboxing our first Near Infrared Imaging sensor from MAPIR.

This particular model replaces the Blue filter in the RGB color spectrum with a Near Infrared (NIR) filter, making the camera sensitive to Red, Green and NIR radiation, a feature ideal for plant health analysis.

Other features include a 12MP 1/2.3″ sensor, non-distorted wide angle lens, RAW data capture and the ability to remotely trigger the shutter via a PWM signal.

This is just one of potentially many cameras we are set to acquire, and we can’t wait to have it mounted onto the drone, and get started with some of our pending agricultural pilot projects!
